AI Image Cutout: Name an Object, Get a Transparent PNG

Upload a photo and name what you want to keep. SAM3.1 isolates products, people, pets or faces and returns one transparent PNG per run.

Use a short English object name, such as “red backpack”, “woman” or “dog”. Other languages may return no match.

Three steps

How to cut out an object from an image

  1. Step 1

    Upload a photo

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP with the object clearly visible. A sharp photo with space around the subject is easier to separate than a blurry or crowded scene.

  2. Step 2

    Name the object in English

Write a short label such as “red backpack” or “dog”. Add a visible detail to distinguish similar objects, then sign in and generate at the displayed credit cost.

  3. Step 3

    Download your transparent PNG

Open the result in your generation session and download the PNG. Check its edges before placing it into a product layout, thumbnail or collage.

One tool, different subjects

Object, person and face cutouts for your next design

Product cutouts for layouts

Select one item from a styled scene and reuse it in a listing, sale banner or comparison graphic. A transparent PNG lets your design supply the background.

Person cutouts for thumbnails

Isolate a person for a presentation, poster or video thumbnail. Describe clothing or another visible detail when you want to distinguish someone in a group.

Pet cutouts for personal projects

Separate a dog or another visible pet for a digital sticker, greeting card or collage. Inspect the fur edges against your new background before exporting the design.

Face cutouts for portrait layouts

Use “face” to select the facial area for a profile layout or collage. The example shown here keeps the face and excludes hair. Use a person description when you want the whole visible person.

A better match

Tell the image cutout tool exactly what to keep

SAM3.1 follows the object description. It does not redraw missing parts or guarantee a match for every photo.

Name the visible object

Use “red backpack” instead of “remove the background”. Name what stays, with a color or other visible detail when the scene contains similar subjects.

Keep the label short and English

Start with “woman”, “dog” or “face”. Long editing instructions and non-English descriptions can make the intended object harder to detect.

Give the model a clear outline

Use a well-lit source. Overlap, motion blur, low contrast and tiny subjects can reduce separation quality; fine hair and fur may need further editing.

Questions, answered

AI image cutout FAQ

It is a text-guided cutout tool powered by SAM3.1. You upload a photo and name a visible object; the tool returns one transparent PNG per run. That image can contain multiple matching regions, rather than separate files for each object in the photo.

Yes. Try “face” for the facial area, or describe the person when you want a whole-person cutout. A cutout follows the detected outline and makes the surroundings transparent; a crop only trims the frame. This tool does not swap or generate faces. The face example shown here excludes hair.

Background Remover automatically chooses the foreground subject. Image Cutout lets you name the object you want to keep. Image Segmentation produces a color-coded region map for guided generation. Choose this tool when you need a selected object as a transparent PNG.

Use short English names even if you browse YouArt in another language: “dog”, “red backpack” or “woman in red”. Non-English prompts often return no detections. Describe an object that is actually visible, rather than an action or a scene you want to create.

Upload one JPG, PNG or WebP image per run. The result is a PNG cutout with a transparent background, available in your generation session. A checkerboard preview indicates transparency; it is not part of the image. This page does not export editable vector paths or separate mask files.

Generation requires sign-in and YouArt credits. The button shows the current cost before you run the tool. Check your balance and the available plans if you need more credits; this page does not offer unlimited free cutouts.

Shorten the prompt to an English object name, add a visible distinguishing detail, or try a clearer photo. When several objects match, the PNG may include multiple regions or a different subject than intended. Blurry outlines, overlap, fine hair and fur can need manual cleanup after download.

No. Your image is uploaded for server processing, and the result appears in your YouArt generation session. This is an online AI tool, not a local-only editor. For how uploaded content is handled, refer to YouArt's Privacy Policy.
