Frequently asked questions
AI Flag Generator FAQ
- What does the AI flag generator create?
- One original flag design as a 1K square flat image: solid colours, simple geometry and one charge, with no fabric folds, pole or mockup.
- How should I write a flag prompt?
- Name the field colour, the division (bands, a cross, a saltire, a chevron, a hoist band) and one charge. Keep the palette to two or three colours. If the result looks busy, remove a colour before you remove a shape. Words are the one thing to leave out: this page draws no lettering or numerals at all, because generated type garbles and a motto that comes back misspelled makes the whole design unusable. Add any text afterwards, where you can pick the typeface.
- Can it recreate a real country's flag?
- No, and that is deliberate. The instruction refuses to reproduce or closely imitate the flag of any real country, region, city, military unit, party or company, and refuses hate and extremist symbols. This page is for designing new flags.
- Can I use the design commercially?
- The result is a raster image you own the use of, subject to YouArt's terms. For print or embroidery you will usually want it redrawn as vector artwork, which a designer can do quickly from a flat design like this.
- How many credits does one flag cost?
- Each run costs 8 credits and returns one 1K square image. Membership credits work the same way here as anywhere else on YouArt.
