Choose the idea that holds the pieces together
Describe the main person, object or scene, then add a few related fragments. A portrait might sit beside leaves and torn color shapes; a city might combine building cutouts with a strip of sea. You can also upload a photo as the starting point, with or without optional text.
Look at the subject first, then at the surrounding fragments. Check that the torn edges and different textures remain visible, and that the composition has some quiet space. For a new variation, ask for fewer objects, a larger focal cutout or a more restrained palette rather than adding detail everywhere.
Download the image and inspect faces, object boundaries and overlapping shapes at full size. If the collage will sit under a headline or inside another layout, review the crop and available space. Add exact typography in your design editor after selecting the artwork.
